Run over 3 weeks, in this mini-course you will learn how to better connect to your breathing and harness the power of your breath to bring calm and relaxation to both body and mind.
As well as touching upon the science behind breathwork, In each 40 minute session, we will explore a selection of Breathwork/Pranayama techniques. These simple breath practices can be used in every day life to benefit your overall breathing and health.
We live in a fast paced world - which can be overstimulating for the mind. Deep breathing and long exhales activate our parasympathetic nervous system (the rest and digest side of us), which counteracts this overstimulation. As breath work can be accessed anywhere and at any time, it makes it a powerful tool for your well being.
The physical benefits of Breathwork include counteracting ineffective breathing patterns, increasing oxygen absorption and heart rate variability (the hearts ability to recover from stress). Mental benefits include reducing stress and anxiety, strengthening attention span and focus.
Wear comfortable, warm clothes. Props will be available make yourself comfortable for the sessions.
